Step 1 – Photo Site Evaluation
To get started, we need to collect some basic information from you, the client, in order to determine the location(s) and requirements / attributes of the photographs you are requesting.
In most cases, we will be able to determine all of your requirements by phone or email communication. It is helpful if you can provide an existing tax parcel identification number or tax parcel image or an image from one of the internet aerial image services to confirm the exact location you want photographed.
The optimum photographic position and associated flight information will be determined from the information you provide. For instance, if a building is to be the primary focus point for the photographs, the compass orientation of the building is important information in order to determine optimum times for sunlight exposure.Potential obstructions or conflicts with an aerial photographic flight will be identified.
The distance from the Aiken Municipal Airport will be established and used to provide you with a firm estimate of the cost of the photographic flight. If your schedule is flexible, it may be possible to combine photographic flights enabling sharing of the aircraft and photographic expenses resulting in a decreased cost.
Step 2 – Photographic Flight
Upon completion of the photo site evaluation process, the photographic flight will be scheduled as soon as possible usually within the next seven days dependent upon weather and other potential flight restrictions. A minimum of ten aerial photographic images are usually taken for each photographic site.
A pre-payment deposit prior to the flight is not required in most cases not involving extended flight distances.
Step 3 – Delivery of Photographic Images
Your photographs will be processed and provided to you via your preferred delivery method - email or CD via U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS. Under normal circumstances, your photo files will be emailed to you within 24 hours or shipped within 48 hours of the photographic flight.
